Boulder is home to a wide variety of places of worship. It is simply amazing to see the different types of interior and exterior works that are associated with these remarkable structures. Through photographs, I will be exploring Boulder places of worship, starting with the Shambhala Meditation Center.
The Boulder Shambhala Meditation Center is located at 1345 Spruce Street, Boulder, Colorado. The temple has been in Boulder since 1971, however this historical building was constructed in 1904. This Center is part of an international community of 165 meditation centers founded by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, a master of the Shambhala and Tibetan traditions. The interior design of the temple is fashioned to represent the Tibetan stye of Buddhism. Both the interior and exterior of this space is quite unique.
